South Hook Fort Fort was built between 1859 - 1865 / Battery initially with 20 Guns /
2 Storey Horseshoe - shaped Defensible Barracks for 160 men / 4 ft thick walls /
extensive changes to armament over the life of the site / disarmed in 1935
