Pilot Cottages
A row of four single storeyed two roomed Cottages . Built for the lighthouse keepers, pilots and lifeboat men.
The Pilots job was to pilot ships into the Menai Straits
and also man the nearby lifeboat together with men from Newborough.
The pilot station was closed in 1943 . Lifeboat Station closed in 1903
The cannon in front of the cottages was used for summoning the lifeboat crew.
