5 - Porth Towan to Trefor
Garn For / Mynydd Y Gwaith
The Coast Path passes below the heavily Quarried North face of Yr Eifl
and in front of the West End Cottages. In the mid-C19 , the cottages were the quarry offices.
The Western Peak of Yr Eifl - Garn For (Mynydd y Gwaith) at 444m towers over the Sea.
The lane past the cottages was the route of an early tramway to the Port
from the lower galleries of the quarry , now covered with scree.
