5 - Porth Towan to Trefor
Nant Gwrtheyrn National Language Centre.
View from the hairpin bend at the top of the valley.
The centre is built within the structures of the former quarrying village of Porth Nant.
Located in a remote blind valley, the village was once home to 200 quarry workers and their families.
After the Quarry closed in 1946 , the village fell into decline .
The last residents moved from their houses in 1959
