Motte and Bailey - Wolf's Castle
A motte and bailey castle , in the heart of the village of Wolf's Castle .
The tree covered ditched motte is about 5.0m high and 14m in diameter , standing
on a promontory with a steep slope to the east leading down to the 'Afon Anghof ' .
Access - From Wolfscastle a minor road under the A40 leads to a track - signed to the
motte , from this a path climbs up to the Field known as Castle Park
on which the mound stands .
