St Donat's Ammonite

An Ammonite is built into the stone wall above the seawall at St Donat's Castle.
The 12th century Castle was bought and
renovated by the American newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst in 1925.
The castle now houses Atlantic College, an international Sixth Form College,
the first of the thirteen United World Colleges.
An RNLI Lifeboat Station is within the grounds, and its Atlantic 75 class boat
is manned by staff and students from the College
