1.10 - FRESHWATER WEST - WEST ANGLE
East Pickard Bay
The Old Red Sandstone Rocks at East Pickard Bay have two exposures of "Tuff" bands - The Townsend and Pickards Bay Tuff bands.
The "Tuff" was formed as a result of Volcanic Dust and Ash being deposited
in the sea and forming a sedimentary layer on the sea floor (RIGS 453).
